Final Project
We are nearing the end of our 9 weeks together. You have learned many skills in these few projects we have completed together. This final project is made up of 2 parts. The first part is an artist exploration in which you will be looking at artists featured on the Let's Talk About Art tab of this website. The tab can be found on the left side of this page. The second part of your final is a drawing or painting project of your choice. I have listed options below is you are in need of inspiration.
Final Project Part 1: Artist Exploration:
Click on the Let's Talk About Art tab on the left and look through the featured artists there. Make sure to look back at previous months for more artists. Spend at least 15 minutes looking through the art to make sure you found one you really like.
Search for the artist's name on Google and see how much of the information from the Artist Exploration Packet you can find.
Save images of the artist's artwork.
Now open PowerPoint. You will be creating a PowerPoint to present your artist to the class. This presentation will be informal. I will play your PowerPoint while you tell us about the slides. Your PowerPoint will need at least 10 slides :
Slide 1: The artist's name, where they're from or where they live now, an image of their artwork.
Slide 2 and 3: Another image of the artist's work.
Slide 4-10: The rest of the questions from the packet need to be presented on slides. It's OK if you combine more than one question on a slide. Add more images of the artist's work if needed. The more images the more we'll have an idea of what the artist creates.
Email me your Presentation when it is complete. We will be presenting these during the last week of school.
Final Project Part 2: Your Artwork:
Your artwork does not need to resemble the art of the artist your presentation is on. The Artist Exploration is simply to see what current artists are doing and to share that with others in the class. The artwork is your choice. Drawing or painting project. Below are some options, although you do not need to stick with these options. You will need to complete a peer critique at the half-way point of your project and then participate in a class critique when the project is due. Check out these options below.
